Sensei John M Agostini

Certified Senior Instructor

Sensei John began training in the Martial Arts with Shihan Larry Sullivan in May 1992 and received his 1st Degree Black Belt in March of 1996.  During the course of his training, he competed in tournaments and won trophies in Self Defense, Weapons Forms and Empty Handed Forms.

Through continued training and advancement, he became a Certified Senior Instructor in Sullivan’s American Kenpo in June of 2004, and received his 4th Degree Black Belt on August 11th, 2006. Shihna Larry Sullivan, in May of 2006, selected Sensei John as the Head Instructor for a new school, which became USA Karate, Rehoboth.

Sensei John is a graduate of Iona College, in New Rochelle, New York, with a Degree in History. Upon Graduation, he attended Officer Candidate School at Newport RI and was Commissioned an Ensign in Feb. of 1972. Sensei John served 9 ½ years active duty during which time he deployed to the Pacific twice including a tour to Viet Nam., and two North Atlantic Deployments that included Special Operation in the Artic. Sensei John served an additional 14 ½ years in the Naval Reserve, retiring from the Naval War College Reserve Staff with the rank of Commander.

Sensei John is married with two children both of whom have trained with him. His son earned his 2nd Degree Black Belt before retiring.

Sensei Caron MacDonald-Lefebvre

Currently Sensei Caron trains with Both Hanshi Larry Sullivan and Sensei John Agostini  in the Rehoboth Dojo, while teaching the daytime classes. She began her training with Hanshi Larry Sullivan in August of 1995 and earned her 1st degree Black Belt in June of 2000, and her 2nd Degree rank in June of 2003. Sensei Caron been an instructor at USA Karate since October of 2001.

During her years of training, Sensei Caron has competed regionally, and in 1996 won the North American Sport Karate Association /R.I. state Championship in  Forms and Fighting, and also took 3rd place in Forms and Fighting in the 1996 KRANE National Ratings.

Sensei Caron is a graduate of St. Raphael’s Academy in Pawtucket R.I., and is an EMT

( Emergency Medical Technician.) working for EMS, and holds R.I., MA, and National EMT Certifications. Additionally, Sensei Caron works for Alternatives Unlimited, providing services for adults with special needs.

Sensei Caron is married with no children, but spend much of her time with her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies and interest include Hiking, Mountain Biking, Photography and Geo-Catching.
